Dental Assisting Program
Dear Interested Students,
Our next dental assisting class is scheduled to begin on the second Saturday of January. We will hold an open house to answer any questions you may have about our course, and give a brief tour of our office, which is also our teaching facility. We have enclosed a map to help you find our office. The Open House is usually held on the first Saturday of January. If interested, please call to confirm these dates.
We have enclosed some registration material for those of you who wish to reserve a place in that class. Since the class fills up quickly, we suggest that you mail in your deposit at least two weeks prior to the starting date.
The course is designed to give the student maximum “hands-on” training and experience in an actual dental office, in the shortest amount of time. Our goal is to give you the basics and get you out there working, as quickly as possible. The teaching is stimulating, fast paced, and relies heavily on individual participation. Lecture time will be one instructor per ten students. Clinical sessions will include two to three instructors per ten students. This insures personal attention and a worthwhile learning experience. You will not have time to be bored. A syllabus containing notes on all lecture material, as well as an excellent textbook are provided, so as to heighten the classroom experience and eliminate the fatigue of a lot of note taking.
A career of helping people improve their dental health will be rewarding and enormously satisfying for you. No two days will ever be the same and your job will continuously renew itself. It is a career that will always be in demand, and in need of capable, trained and caring Dental Assistants.
